It's 2020. We all have that dream: Taking the leap to LEARN new and valuable SKILLS!
What do you have in mind? Graphic Designing, Videography, Writing or even Cooking, etc? Maybe you are doing it for yourself as a side-hobby? Or for your company to solve problems & come up with new and innovative solutions? Whatever it is, some skills are certainly must haves. In this world right now, having multiple useful skills in your resume surely will increase your value as a person in the eyes of the employers!
Learning a new skill takes up a lot of energy, time and money. So, make sure all of our efforts are worth it, we have so much to do daily! I often see my colleagues and friends struggle with skill learning, many gave up sometimes or just lost the motivation to do so.
With that in mind, I decided share some of the most useful and effective skill-gaining tips I put into practice myself whenever I'm learning a new or brushing up certain skills. They work like magic! Most of them are based on tips from successful learners. Here we go!
1) LEARN BY DOING
2) STUDY THE GREATS, THEN PRACTICE
3) MAKE IT MEANINGFUL TO YOURSELF
4) FIND A MENTOR
5) DELIBERATE PRACTICE
6) TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS
7) TEACH WHAT YOU LEARN
8) TEST YOURSELF
That's all (some) of it! What is your favourite one? Do you have any other tips to share? Please write them in the comments!
